Privacy Policy

    Young Athletic Sports LLC (“YAS”) strives to provide exceptional sports programs in a safe and supportive environment so that children can explore, grow and thrive. As such, we pledge our commitment to preserve and protect our members’ rights to privacy and confidentiality as necessary and appropriate. The following Privacy Policy is designed to fulfill this commitment.
    YAS requires all members, players and volunteers, to register with YAS and provide personally identifiable information necessary for participation in its programs. For players, this information includes name, date of birth, home address, parent contact details including phone numbers and email addresses, emergency contact information, and any medical conditions that may affect the player’s ability to participate safely. When a credit or debit card is used as a form of payment for any registration or membership fees, this information is used to complete the transaction and is not stored by YAS.
    YAS uses a third party to perform background screening of volunteers. The third party provider will collect personally identifiable information necessary to perform the background checks.  Background check results provided to YAS are considered private and confidential and are secured with both restricted electronic and physical access limited to only the employees determining volunteer eligibility. Background check results are only available to the individual upon request and are not disclosed to any other party.
    YAS does not sell or disseminate personally identifiable information. Sponsors may be permitted to send information including advertisements to YAS’s membership; however, they will not be given direct access to membership data. 
    Player and volunteer photographs and video may be taken from time to time and used in YAS training and promotional materials as permissioned through the YAS registration forms. Member identities shall not be divulged in this process and the identities of players shall be protected in all public forums.
    YAS also collects membership information through email correspondence and online forms. This information is entered willingly and knowingly by the user. Additional information that may be automatically collected includes IP addresses, browsers, webpages on YAS’s website viewed by users. 
    YAS does not knowingly collect or use personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 without the consent of their parents.  

  2. What kind of personally identifiable information does YAS collect?
    YAS collects the names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses and credit/debit card information when YAS members register their players. While your credit/debit card information is taken, YAS does not store this information. YAS also collects personally identifiable membership information through email correspondence and online forms. This information is entered willingly and knowingly by the user.
    Additional information that may be automatically collected include IP addresses, browsers, webpages on YAS sites viewed by users, etc. This statistical information is used so that YAS can determine what areas of our sites are performing well or are not performing well and so that we can improve our membership’s digital experience.
    Once collected, this information is used to better serve our membership. We do not sell or share this information with third parties that are not otherwise stated in this policy.
    We may also track conversion data from our email correspondences so that YAS can measure our effectiveness in marketing and promotions.
    What does YAS do with my personally identifiable information?
    The information collected by YAS may be used for marketing or promotional purposes, recordkeeping, editorial and feedback purposes or content improvement.
    Does YAS collect information from minors?
    YAS does not knowingly collect or use personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 without the consent of their parents. If the situation arises where a child has provided YAS personally identifiable information without the consent of their parents, the parents should contact YAS immediately to remove that information.
    How does YAS protect my personally identifiable information?
    YAS protects your personally identifiable information with strict internal procedures.
    Does YAS share my personally identifiable information with third parties?
    YAS does not provide direct access to personally identifiable information by share or sell our memberships information.  We may share some or all of the categories of your personally identifiable information, as identified above, with third-party service providers that provide services to us for a variety of business purposes, such as payment processing, volunteer background screening, customer service, email deployment, advertising and marketing, security and performance monitoring, maintaining or servicing accounts, processing or fulfilling orders and transactions, information hosting, auditing, and information processing.  Our sponsors may be permitted to send information including advertisements to YAS’s membership; however, they will not have access to personally identifiable information to directly contact YAS’s membership.
    How can I update my personally identifiable information?
    Please email us if you need to update the contact information that we currently have on file. Please email us via the email address on file (your former address, the one we currently have) so we can verify ownership.
    Does YAS use photographs shared on Social Media?
    YAS does, on occasion, use photos shared by our membership on social media, such as Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and Twitter. YAS does not publish the names or locations of the children in the photo. 
    How does YAS determine volunteer eligibility?
    YAS determines whether or not a volunteer is able to be a volunteer based on a background check we have conducted by a third party. YAS will share the results of that background check with the volunteer applicant, but will not share them with anyone else.
    Will YAS update this Privacy Policy?
    YAS is continually striving to improve our policies. YAS reserves the right to update and modify this policy at any time by posting modifications on the website, www.youthathleticsports.org.
    Your California Privacy Rights 
    The California Consumer Privacy Act or “CCPA” permits California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please contact us at youthathleticsports@gmail.com.
    The CCPA provides consumers residing in California certain rights with respect to their personal information. If you are a California resident, you may have the right to: (1) request to know more about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose; (2) request deletion of your personal information; (3) opt out of sale of your personal information (if any); and (4) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
    You may make these requests by contacting us. Note that we may ask you for additional information to help us verify who you are before completing your request. If we receive your request from an authorized agent, we may ask for evidence that you gave that person authority to submit requests to exercise rights on your behalf. We will not discriminate against you if you exercise your rights under the CCPA.
